Barry is an acclaimed song writer and organist. He is an inductee in the Southern Music Hall of Fame. His song 'Gray Ghost' was in the Top 20 of Billboard Magazine while he was a member of The Henry Paul Band.

Along with these accomplishments, Barry has also toured and worked with The Derek Trucks Band. He is on of the founding members of Mojo Roux, his soulful voice and playing ability having much to do with the Mojo Roux sound.
